The Portland Humanist Film Fest Staff would like to extend a warm “thank you” to everyone who attended the event!   Your presence made our second festival a huge success!  It was a great time, with both fun and poignant moments, laughter and tears. You were a wonderful audience. We would like to extend a big thank you to our 2 noted speakers - Tom Flynn and Bruce Adams. We would like to thank our filmmakers for making the time (and travel in many cases) to attend so we could fully celebrate their film awards:  Roger Nygard for The Nature of Existence, Brian Dunning for Here Be Dragons, Robert Neary and Lydia Ghozeil for The Fairy Scientist, Josh Fost for Science is a Vaccine, and Martin Vavra for Patrick's Story.  We have tremendous  gratitude to our sponsors and of note, the galactic level support that Tom Dwyer Automotive offered to us. Last but not least: Everyone was a volunteer in creating this event and your time and contribution is appreciated very much. Our organizational sponsor, Center for Inquiry-Portland and our major contributor, Humanists of Greater Portland were the backbone to making this three day, 17 film event a reality.

We had great feedback from you about the film selections: the ballots were almost universally the highest two rankings - this is so gratifying to know that our efforts were meaningful to you, our audience!
